The popular UEX ski train returns just in time for the Dutch Crocus vacations – now with direct connections from the Netherlands for the first time. Start your ski vacation comfortably by train from Amsterdam, Utrecht, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven or Venlo. In Germany, the UEX also stops in Mönchengladbach, Cologne and Siegburg/Bonn – ideal for travelers from North Rhine-Westphalia. Destinations in Austria include Jenbach, Innsbruck, Ötztal, Landeck, St. Anton, Zell am See, Kitzbühel, St. Johann im Pongau and Schladming. NEW: The UEX ski train – direct to Zell am See & Schladming
From winter 2025/26, the UEX ski train will travel to popular Alpine destinations such as Zell am See, Schladming, Kitzbühel and St. Johann im Pongau without changing trains for the first time. The tried-and-tested destinations of Innsbruck, Kufstein, Wörgl, Jenbach, Ötztal, Landeck and St. Anton will of course remain in the program.

The UEX winter train is perfectly coordinated with the vacation periods in Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia – with direct connections for Berlin ski vacations and convenient connections from Copenhagen. So your ski vacation starts with the journey – relaxed, sociable and climate-friendly.
Car train: Relaxed travel to the Alps in your own car
The popular UEX car train can also be booked again for the 2025/26 winter season. Travel stress-free and without the highway – your car simply travels with you. So you can start your skiing vacation relaxed, without traffic jams or compulsory winter tires.

In the 2025/2026 winter season, we will take you to Austria’s most beautiful ski resorts in comfort and relaxation every week on our cozy night trains. Climb aboard, lean back and leave everyday life behind you – while the UEX Night takes you safely through the night. In the morning, you wake up well rested in the middle of the winter wonderland and start your skiing vacation refreshed. You can travel in a couchette coach with up to six people per compartment – ideal for families or groups. If you want more space, choose the Max2 couchette coach with a maximum of two occupied seats per compartment. The sleeping car offers more privacy and service, including its own washing area. Enjoy the highest standard in the Junior Suite: two connected compartments with separate living and sleeping areas – perfect for couples or families. Our “Büdchen” on the UEX night train: some call it a bistro, we – in true Cologne style – simply call it a “Büdchen”. As a Cologne railroad company, it is a matter of the heart for us to have such a small, cozy meeting place on board many of our night trains. Our Büdchen is much more than just a point of sale: in the evening, it becomes a popular meeting place for our guests. Here, travelers can chat, toast with a cool beer or a glass of wine and get in the mood for the upcoming vacation. Come by – we look forward to nice conversations and your visit!

New UEX Terminal Munich South
With the start of the 2025 summer program, the Urlaubs-Express will move to Munich. Car loading and passenger boarding and alighting will then take place at the newly built Munich South Terminal. From May 2025, all Urlaubs-Express journeys to Munich will therefore be operated to/from the new terminal. (more ...).
